WINE CHARACTERISTICS

Teran, the most important red indigenous Istrian variety, features a classic ruby red tone, with a fine, accentuated and lasting aroma and the recognizable fruity character of Teran. Relatively high total acidity and a touch of tartness combined with a high extract content give this wine a typical taste of the Teran: strong, rich, robust, lively, yet pleasant and interesting.
We recommend serving it with red meat-based dishes, game and mature cheeses.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON

WINE CHARACTERISTICS

This very adaptable variety, which is grown all over the world, gives remarkable results in this microclimate as well. This wine exudes a beautiful ruby red tone with granite shine. Aroma is accentuated, typically fruity with dominating black currant, and gradual opening of spicy aromas in combination with the light wooden notes. The taste gives very extractive and rich, pleasant tannin taste yet in the same time it is subtle and elegant. It is best served with dark sauces, red meats and game.

MERLOT

WINE CHARACTERISTICS

French variety, it is one of the most widespread varieties of wine worldwide
It is harvested at the end of September. After fermentation, the wine is aged inside a combination of large wooden barrels and barrique barrels for 14 months.
The wine has a ruby red tone and a rich, fruity taste.
Its taste is dominated by currants, plums, black cherries, Mediterranean herbs…
In addition, it is rounded with soft, pleasant tannins, making it a popular “partner” for blends with other black varieties.

GRANDE CUVÉE

WINE CHARACTERISTICS

It is our first red cuvée made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Teran.
It is characterized by a deep ruby tone, clean aromas of red and black fruits, embraced by aromas of
wooden barrels, leather, dark chocolate and spices.
The Grande Cuvée aged for two years in new oak barrels and then another three years in the bottle.
It has moderate alcoholic strength, and is warm and mellow, with accentuated ripe tannins that give it a fine, subtle sweetness and
savor. It combines well with red meat-based dishes, game and stronger, hard cheeses.
